All Ways Good: Swanning and Swooping
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August 2024
Civic Centre Gardens, Newcastle Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 7PN
If you’ve ever seen David Wynne’s Sculpture ‘Swans in Flight' (1968) Then you’ll know how it makes you want to spread your wings! Tucked inside the civic centre courtyard, five huge bronze Swans take off with magnificence and power rising from the water with grace and elegance. Now, as part of Novum festival's 'Stay and Play activities', All Ways Good Company’s team of experienced Flight Instructors are giving you the opportunity to embody that sense of flight. Cygnets will begin with a warm-up stretch and swoop wearing dazzling silver wings, then when ready, they can graduate to a flight on one of purpose- built aerial rigs. There, with the support and encouragement of our team, you will be able to take flight on an exciting range of aerial equipment. Whether you ascend to the skies on the silks, cocoons, trapeze, or hoop, everyone will have the opportunity to ascend to the heights and strike a pose soaring with the Swans.
